Listen to You
Sex work is an atypical profession with unique characteristics that only other sex workers can understand. We often learn how to work and develop our practices on our own and getting started in sex work can be daunting due to the lack of information about the profession, safety measures, potential pitfalls, etc. What's more, due to stigma, many sex workers hide their profession from their friends and family and lead often stressful double lives. That's why many sex workers need a place where they don't have to mince their words when it comes to their work.
UTSOPI organises monthly, informal meetings between sex workers, called “Listen To You”. There, sex workers can get to know each other and learn from each other. Our meetings take place in Ghent, Antwerp, Brussels, Liège and Diest. These meetings are free of charge and exclusively reserved for sex workers, and we always provide snacks and drinks.
What exactly is a Listen to You?
Listen to You events are exclusive gatherings where sex workers are invited to enjoy a fun evening with colleagues. We do our best to welcome everyone in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Listen to You meetings are also a great way to celebrate each other and our collective knowledge through themed evenings and workshops. If you have a theme or workshop in mind and would like to host one of these evenings, please let us know at:

What to expect?
Enjoyable, non-judgmental conversations over drinks and snacks with people who share similar experiences to yours, and (in)formal answers to any questions you may have about your work as a sex worker. There's never any pressure, just come as you are! Even if you don't feel like talking, you can simply come and enjoy some good company and listen to the conversations around you.
Can't make it on time?
No worries, you can come and go as you please! Listen to You is not a discussion group where everyone takes turns speaking. It's like an evening with friends: come whenever you want, the door is always open!
Who can attend?

Each month, we will follow the following program:
- 1st Thursday of the month: Brussels;
- 2nd Tuesday of the month: Diest;
- 2nd Thursday of the month: Liège;
- 3rd Tuesday of the month: Ghent;
- 4th Thursday of the month: Antwerp.
